Barbara Hamm Lee

Barbara Hamm Lee is an executive producer and host of popular podcast AnotherView. Mrs. Lee graced SC State students with her wisdom and tips on how to be successful. She also interacted with the students through webcam allowing students to ask questions.

Mrs. Lee talked about being a producer and journalist giving the ins and outs of how to get a great story. She discussed how she started small and ended up making it big time. Mrs. Barbara stated, "Even if its a small town with a small job take it - its better to get your feet wet then have no experience at all."

The students enjoyed Mrs. Lee asking her questions about her background and how she made it to be successful. Lee was very humble treating the students like they were right there with her, gracing them with smiles as she spoke. School is coming to an end for some of the students and Mrs. Lee gave her advice when it comes to school as well. She explained, "My major at Bennet College was special education until my junior year." In which she then switched and fell in love with TV production and writing.

Mrs. Barbara Lee is a triple threat with a credential sheet out of this world. Working for companies such as BET, Channel 11, and holding down her current position at WHRO.

Her smile is contagious and her wisdom is wise ! I enjoyed Mrs. Lee my personal favorite trait about her is the wokeness inside of her. She understands we need more African Americans in the writing field and producing field. The encouragement meant a lot I will be checking out the show very soon !
